Mark Meyers

Mark has worked in many facets of the sports industry.  His professional background encompasses publicity, broadcasting, public relations, journalism, marketing, promotions and publishing.

Currently, he manages the publicity efforts for the Ready, Set, Gold! program. He is also Director of Communications for the Los Angeles Sports Council, a non-profit organization that attracts world-caliber sporting events to Southern California.  He has held the position since 1993, managing the company’s media and public relations efforts.

A veteran radio reporter with 22 years experience, Meyers also is an on-air correspondent for several national sports networks, including Fox Sports Radio, The Associated Press, ESPN Radio, SiriusXM, Westwood One and Yahoo! Radio.

In 1995, Meyers co-authored a book titled “Unforgettable! The 100 Greatest Moments in Los Angeles Sports History” (Towery Publishing).  Further, he implemented the book’s regional and national publicity campaign. 

A New York native, Meyers is a 1984 graduate of the University of Hartford with a B.A. in Communications.  He played football and baseball in college.
