Q: Who is the only boxer ever to defeat Mike Tyson twice?
A: Henry Tillman, who took down Iron Mike on two occasions as amateurs, the second time preventing Tyson from competing in the 1984 Olympics in Los Angeles.
Tillman went on to win the Olympic heavyweight gold medal in his hometown, while Tyson later went on to professional glory as one of the fiercest world champions of all-time.
Incidentally, they fought a third time, in 1990, with Tyson emerging victoriously.
Tillman, who currently trains top-ranked fighters, has been a valued member of the Ready, Set, Gold! team for the last 11 years, educating students at both Jordan High and Rancho Dominguez Prep on physical fitness … with, of course, some boxing instruction too.
Henry was recently interviewed by fightnetwork.com on a variety of topics, and that video is linked here.
